When Should a Post-Assessment Be Administered?

At a minimum, the post-assessment should be administered right after completing a specific Pre-ETS service, and when the provider perceives that significant and meaningful change has occurred in relation to the service being evaluated. This timing allows for a focused evaluation of the impact of the service provided and helps in accurately assessing the progress and effectiveness of the intervention. Providing the post-assessment more than 72 hours after completing services or before you have concluded a service is likely to reduce accuracy.

It's important to note that the providers have the flexibility to administer the post-assessment multiple times. This approach allows providers to continuously gauge progress and make informed decisions. If initial post-assessments indicate that the desired change hasn't occurred, conducting subsequent assessments offers the opportunity to adapt and customize services further, ensuring they align better with the student's needs and goals.
